Transforming global logistics and supply chains requires visionary professionals. We are seeking individuals who can drive import operations, manage freight costs, and ensure timely delivery of products. This role involves overseeing the flow of finished goods from Asia, Mexico, and the USA to Colombia and Peru. You will coordinate with shipping companies, freight forwarders, customs agents, and local transport while adhering to local regulations and timelines. The role is critical in achieving fill rates for all customers and ensuring containers are delivered on time based on forecasts and inventory at the origin. A Day in the Life : - Overseeing import operations and managing freight costs. - Communicating daily with booking agents and global transportation teams. - Planning shipments and confirming container loads. - Tracking shipments and managing import documentation via systems like SAP. - Coordinating customs clearance, managing in-transit issues, land transport, and regulatory compliance in Colombia and Peru. - Ensuring on-time delivery to warehouses and maintaining import records and validations. - Generating monthly transit and freight cost reports. Required Skills and Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade or Engineering. - At least 5 years of experience in import and export logistics. - Course in international agreements. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of SAP for import processes.
