Responsibilities include managing the entire contracting process—from online research and provider due diligence to rate negotiations and contract legal review with support from general counsel, culminating in contract signing. The role requires managing multiple active conversations simultaneously, necessitating excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. The Contracting Specialist must excel in online research and negotiation, utilizing PROVE’s CRM and research tools to identify and engage potential providers in targeted specialties and locations. Due diligence involves background checks, medical board disciplinary reviews, and patient feedback to ensure provider standards. Negotiation skills are used to establish favorable reimbursement rates based on quantitative benchmarks. As a key representative, the Contracting Specialist should possess strong customer service skills, be knowledgeable about PROVE’s products and services, and contribute to brand awareness and sales opportunities. The role interfaces daily with sales and operations teams to ensure a steady network of medical providers for patient care. The Contracting Specialist reports directly to the Director of Sales Operations. Ideal candidates will have experience in phone-based roles, professional negotiation skills, excellent customer service, basic healthcare industry knowledge (medical specialties, facilities, coding/billing), and experience with cloud-based CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
