The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business needs, defining requirements, and optimizing processes to support Avertra’s strategic initiatives. This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that solutions align with organizational goals and customer expectations. The Business Analyst utilizes BPMN and process modeling to design efficient workflows, collaborates with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, and translates complex business problems into actionable insights. Additionally, this role contributes to continuous improvement efforts, supports data-driven decision-making, and ensures high-quality delivery by refining business analysis best practices. Job Description: Business & Process Analysis Conduct workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather detailed business needs and pain points. Utilize BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) to create end-to-end process maps, ensuring clarity in workflows. Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and automation opportunities within business operations. Recommend process improvements and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and scalability. Work closely with Product Owners and Developers to ensure that process changes align with business objectives. Requirements Documentation & Management Translate business requirements into comprehensive documentation, including user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria. Maintain a well-organized backlog, ensuring all requirements are properly groomed, prioritized, and traceable. Ensure that non-functional requirements (e.g., security, scalability, performance) are considered in solution design. Collaborate with QA teams to define test cases and ensure alignment with business needs. Maintain version control of documentation to track requirement changes and ensure alignment with stakeholders. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and leadership. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration sessions to gather input, clarify expectations, and align teams. Drive consensus among stakeholders by proactively resolving conflicts and ambiguities. Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on project progress, risks, and impact. Support change management initiatives by ensuring stakeholders understand new processes and system changes. Agile Project Support Work within Scrum or Kanban frameworks, ensuring Agile principles are followed. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. Assist Product Owners in prioritizing backlog items based on business impact and feasibility. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by defining test scenarios and validating business outcomes. Ensure that development teams have clear and actionable requirements to minimize blockers and increase delivery efficiency. Data-Driven Decision Making Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and business data to provide actionable insights. Create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support business strategy and decision-making. Utilize data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau) to extract insights and drive improvements. Provide recommendations on process changes based on quantitative analysis and business impact. Ensure that data governance and compliance standards are followed when handling sensitive business information. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of business processes, workflows, and best practices. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to refine requirements gathering and documentation methods. Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate solution effectiveness and propose refinements. Train internal teams and stakeholders on new processes, tools, and methodologies as needed. Stay current with industry trends, business analysis frameworks, and emerging technologies to improve business processes. Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and QA teams to align on priorities and execution. Foster a culture of open communication within the team, encouraging feedback and knowledge sharing. Actively participate in team discussions, retrospectives, and collaborative problem-solving sessions. Assist in removing roadblocks by coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders as needed. Promote best practices and continuous learning, mentoring junior team members and contributing to team development. Facilitates meetings, workshops, and presentations to drive alignment and decision-making. Adapts communication style based on the audience, whether executives, developers, or end users. Works closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Developers, and QA. Builds strong relationships with stakeholders to foster trust and open communication. Encourages teamwork by promoting a shared understanding of project goals. Actively participates in Agile ceremonies, retrospectives, and working sessions. Engages with external stakeholders (e.g., clients, partners) to ensure business needs align with technical feasibility. Balances multiple tasks, handling unexpected challenges without compromising quality. Process Review Conducts end-to-end process reviews, mapping current workflows to understand inefficiencies. Documents the as-is state before proposing enhancements to ensure informed decision-making. Collaborates with teams to define the future-state vision, aligning with business goals and system capabilities. Identifies and eliminates bottlenecks, redundancies, and gaps in business processes. Leverages BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) or other process mapping techniques to create clear, visual representations of workflows. Preferences: Certification in CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or Scrum certifications (PSM, CSPO). Experience in utilities, fintech, or SaaS industries. Familiarity with API documentation, integrations, and data analysis. Understanding of UX principles and ability to contribute to wire-framing or journey mapping. Education: Undergraduate Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Process Analyst, or similar role in a software development or business transformation environment.
