Job Overview The Observability Engineer is a key member of our technical team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining observability solutions for complex systems and applications. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions that enhance system performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities 1. Monitoring and Troubleshooting - Configure monitoring tools to collect data from various systems, applications, and network components. - Monitor alerts, perform triage to identify critical issues, and configure escalation workflows. - Use tool features to analyze metrics, logs, and traces, and conduct root cause analysis. - System Administration - Perform routine administration tasks for observability tools, including user management, access control, and system upgrades. - Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices, and contribute to knowledge bases. - Collaboration and Communication - Collaborate across teams to respond to incidents, handle communication, and coordinate with stakeholders. - Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations that offer a consolidated view of system health and performance. - Tool Integration and Automation - Integrate observability tools with other systems, automate monitoring configurations and reporting, and improve efficiency. - Stay updated on observability trends, research new tools and methods, and continuously improve monitoring setups.
