JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Logistics Executive. Reports to: Brokerage Operations Manager. Mission of the position: As a Logistics Executive, your mission is to ensure the successful daily execution of transportation operations while fostering strong relationships with carriers and assisting with client account management. Covering loads and developing capacity is your primary responsibility while also hunting for new business to add to your team in times of slowness. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing logistics processes, resolving operational challenges, generating profitable margin, and expanding our network of reliable carriers and customers. Responsibilities: Manage and organize transportation boards according to assigned accounts or customers. Handle the order entry process for customer loads and verify status and movements in our TMS. Update required information in the customer portal. Provide support to different areas of the company in operations. Develop relationships with core carriers and promote the benefits of using our service. Make outbound phone calls to solicit and match carriers with available loads and take inbound calls for carrier availability. Assist in tracing shipments by making outbound calls and querying carrier websites to determine shipment status. Provide pricing information to shipper representatives as needed. Search company records using the TMS system and provide necessary information or reports to customers and team members. Resolve customer questions related to shipments in transit as needed. Maintain liaison with shipper representatives for order completion. Respond to requests via telephone or email. Update tracking and location ETA notes as shipments progress and notify recipients or sales customers of ETAs prior to delivery. Document management activities for each load in our TMS, including details of hours and relevant information received. Perform other responsibilities required by the position. Requirements (Skills & Experience): Previous experience in Logistics, Transportation, or Sales. Strong negotiation skills. Good understanding of fundamental business concepts.
