Job Description As a Senior Linux DevOps Engineer, you will drive transformation and innovation. You will design solutions for various business capabilities and must have fluency in Linux, automation, scripting, security, and networking fundamentals. You will help Rockwell transition to a Cloud-Smart operating model that delivers agile, on-demand IT products and services. Reporting to the Senior IT Manager. Your Responsibilities: Contribute to configuration management efforts for a large, diverse, and complex computing environment. Design configuration standards. Create landing zone automation for computing environments. Provide technical guidance on best practices with a focus on Linux and Unix operating systems. Monitor computing environments and develop improvements. Develop automated runbooks for common tasks and support escalation issues. Maintain daily management and administration of projects. Manage CI/CD tools with the team. Design and update processes to improve infrastructure and application development. Enhance application, development, and infrastructure through code. Follow all established best practices. The Essentials - You Will Have: Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience. The Preferred - You Might Also Have: At least 7 years of experience managing Linux environments through automation. At least 5 years of experience managing large Linux environments through automation. Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef). Scripting and automation skills (Terraform, Python, Git, Go). Experience in systems administration. At least 3 years of experience with CI/CD automation tools. Experience building secure cloud infrastructure in Azure, AWS, or GCP. Strong automation focus, with an aversion to manual repetitive tasks.
