We will not be providing Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance is not provided. **Role Purpose**: This role will lead our work to position the British Council as the partner of choice for English assessment and training with schools across the Andes cluster, which includes Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Venezuela. It will be responsible for shaping and delivering on strategy for the schools’ sector related to our schools’ consultancy and assessment offer with an emphasis on Cambridge Assessment International Education programme (CAIE), IELTS & British Council tests. As a Business Development role, it will also involve the direct pursuit of opportunities and delivery of income and key performance indicators targets for the Andes Cluster. A key responsibility of the role is the delivery of the CAIE programme with over 40 schools with an emphasis on programme innovation, teacher training & consultancy, key account management and new school adoption **Role Context**: **Main Accountabilities/Responsibilities but not limited to the following: **Relationship & Stakeholder Management** **- **Direct relationship management of key schools’ accounts and association relationships across Andes cluster for Cambridge Assessment International Education programme (CAIE) and other exams products - Coordinate the planning, establishment and maintenance of nominated account/stakeholder/partner or sponsor relationships, in accordance with the relationship strategy and objectives in line with cluster team and regional priorities **Strategy & Planning** - Lead on the design and delivery of a strategic plan for the schools’ sector, capable of achieving agreed targets (e.g., on margin, income, impact and take up) and aligned to relevant corporate and regional priorities - Manage the schools’ product portfolio and business pipeline to deliver income/surplus targets for schools with a specific focus on CAIE, IELTS & British Council tests - Draw on market insight, operational, commercial, and financial analysis to inform business development and identify areas for new, additional, or modified exams activity with schools - Support the design of the Exams Marketing Plan then monitor and review effectiveness of its implementation **Leadership & Management** - Plan and prioritise own work activities to ensure effective delivery of diverse responsibilities and stakeholder management deliverables over a monthly to quarterly time horizon - Enable a climate of constructive feedback and productive workplace performance. - Share intelligence and ideas to support in identifying/developing new ways of working - Line manage team members across the cluster team **Business Development** - Provide professional input to support the development of high quality, competitive and customer/market-focused bids, tender submissions, programme plans and sponsorship appeals, which are capable of generating specified commercial returns and cultural relations impact. - Work with colleagues to ensure local business development initiatives are based on high quality content, accurate costing, sound commercial/contractual terms, appropriate risk mitigation measures, and are aligned to corporate priorities and plans. - Support Head of Exams Business Development with schools’ data for financial planning, effective team performance, and new ways of working and empowerment of manages when and where appropriate **Programme Management**: Oversee CAIE programme delivery, both in terms of exams administration and security, and general British Council contractual commitments (consultancy, training, inspections, feedback, etc) - Manage the CAIE relationship with Cambridge Assessment for Colombia and Peru, with schools and stakeholders and with regional representatives from Cambridge. - Coordinate a national bilingual consultancy framework to incorporate current CAIE project and activity, to incorporate new structure of categorisation for bilingual schools of all levels, leading to increased income and surplus for British Council through offer of integrated services - Manage British Council teacher training for schools within cons
