CIB Market Risk Management, reporting to the firm's Chief Risk Officer (CRO), is an independent risk group which identifies, measures, monitors and controls market risk. The group forms the key interface for discussing risk issues with the business but retains independent reporting lines through the Risk Management chain. The CIB Legal Entity Market Risk Group is seeking a associate to support the Latin America Legal Entity Market Risk Team and Country CRO on Market Risk and Regulatory Market Risk Management. The position will be responsible for all market risk exposures across lines of businesses in the local legal entities of coverage as well as exposures in offshore entities with access to the local markets through foreign investment accounts in Latin America. The position will be Associate of Market Risk in Bogota and will be the key Market Risk contact for the local regulators in the countries of coverage; as such will be responsible for establishing corporate market risk policies and procedures as well as supervision of local market risk processes. Responsibilities include building a framework to meet local regulatory risk requirements, risk reporting and presenting at country risk committees. The position requires an understanding and interpretation of the regulatory requirements and providing a consistent response to each of the individual regulators with whom we interact. The position also requires interactions with Businesses, Credit, Finance, Audit and Operations **Key **Responsibilities - As a vital member of the Market Risk Organization, responsibilities & opportunities will include: - Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements around Market Risk. - Responsible for the definition of policies to set out the governance approach for Risk. Ensure consistency in policies, practices and procedures around setting, monitoring and reporting of limits related to regulatory risks across locations - Accountable for all regulatory market reports that are submitted to Senior Management, Risk Committee and regulators. - Point of contact for local regulators, external auditors for entity specific regulatory market risk issues. - Understand the factors that drive the risk and P&L; on the books, follow market - Movement/activities affecting positions, highlight and discuss risk changes and top risks - Meet with senior managers and effectively discuss market risk limits, exposures, methodologies and regulatory requirement - Actively engage with location trading desk managers to remain current on risks, business activity, exposures, etc - Provide advisory on potential impacts of risk taking positions and new business initiatives. - Work with technology teams to create dynamic, accurate, and automated regulatory legal entity reporting for the Bank. - Analyze and explain differences between regulatory and corporate methodologies to measure exposures. **Skillset/Experience Required** - Previous experience in the Latin America markets with thorough knowledge of Market Risk - Knowledge of local regulatory requirements; - Previous experience with regulators and dealing with regulatory requirements is a plus - Trading Products knowledge; - Strong analytical & quantitative skills with focus on risk management; - Strong communication skills; - Strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills - Clear oral and written communication in English; - Ability to work independently with limited supervision; - Strong time management skills - should be able to work well under pressure managing several time sensitive deadlines. - Fluency Spanish and English; **About Us** Across JPMorgan Chase, we serve millions of customers and many of the world's most prominent corporate and government clients.
