UnifyCX is looking for an extraordinary Staff AI/ML Engineer - Tech Lead to join us in building our next-gen omnichannel CX delivery and process automation platform Lightbird. What Will You Do? You will architect and lead the development of advanced, production-grade ML solutions that push the boundaries of AI-human interaction. Your focus will be on crafting domain-aware, multi-modal AI copilots—spanning text, audio, and image modalities—that handle complex challenges such as domain aware intent recognition, content intelligence, and conversational analytics . On the average day, you will be building, deploying, or maintaining robust ML pipelines that perform reliably in a high-traffic production environment. You deal well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment! Who are you? Required Qualifications Master’s degree in machine learning, statistics, engineering or equivalent field. 5+ years of building practical machine learning models for business application experiences for at least one of the following: language/ audio/image/ time series tasks. Proficient in a programming language like Python. Hands-on familiarity with ML development libraries like PyTorch/TensorFlow, and ML version control for reproducible training, governance, and experiment tracking. Ability to design, build, test, and maintain customer-facing production ML solutions on GCP/AWS/Azure. Adept at leading teams in diagnosing and resolving intricate ML and systems-level challenges under time constraints. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in machine learning, statistics, engineering or equivalent field. Experience with guardrails for responsible AI deployment in high-compliance sectors. Contributions to open-source AI projects or notable academic publications. Experience scaling ML workloads via distributed architectures. Familiarity with real-time model processing and low-latency model inference.
