Job Opportunity The role of Server Patching Specialist revolves around the deployment and maintenance of server operating systems, as well as adherence to established patch standards and procedures. This ensures optimal server health across a broad enterprise environment while prioritizing system availability according to industry best practices. Responsibilities - Oversee, track, and schedule all server patches to maintain high levels of system performance, availability, and security. - Evaluate and review patches before and after installation to guarantee effectiveness and efficiency. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of enterprise patch maintenance windows and create operational procedures to optimize patching success rates. - Act as the primary point of contact for security patching, ensuring seamless communication with customers and management. - Collaborate with team members to identify trends and improve the overall health of the environment through data-driven insights. - Maintain ticket queues for new patching or change requests and escalate issues for resolution when necessary. Requirements - Demonstrated proficiency in basic Windows server administration, including a solid understanding of networking fundamentals. - Familiarity with Active Directory and experience with related technologies. - A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related field is preferred. - A High School degree is a mandatory prerequisite for this position. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent working experience is desirable. Key Skills - Solid understanding of Patch Management best practices. - Proficiency in Azure Update Management, WSUS, and other patching tools like Manage Engine Endpoint Central. - Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and basic operations. - Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Languages Proficiency in English and Spanish (Oral and writing at 85% or higher) is required, with a minimum B2 level proficiency in both languages being a necessity.
