Hiring Department The University of Missouri School of Medicine's Department of Radiology Job Description The University of Missouri School of Medicine's Department of Radiology is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our expanding team. This role involves providing medical care in our Interventional Radiology division at MUHC. The Department's mission is to deliver excellent patient care, offer outstanding educational experiences for students, residents, and fellows, and advance understanding of human illness through research. We have excellent facilities and a dedicated team committed to clinical and educational excellence. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform pre- and post-procedure assessments, including history-taking, physical exams, and diagnostic tests. Educate patients and families about procedures, risks, and post-care instructions. Obtain informed consent for procedures. Perform minimally invasive procedures such as lumbar puncture, PICC placement, thyroid FNA (training provided). Conduct fluoroscopic-guided GI and GU procedures (training provided). Provide follow-up care and monitor patient progress. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers. Participate in research, quality improvement, and educational activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Shift Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with flexibility for alternative schedules. Minimum Qualifications Physician Assistant licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts. Preferred Qualifications Specialty certification by NCCPA in Radiology is preferred. Prior experience in radiology, interventional radiology, or vascular surgery is a plus. Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and patient-centered care are essential. Anticipated Hiring Range $90,251.20 - $120,000.00. Grade: PAT-012.
