We are a leading company in the manufacturing and distribution of steel, dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our customers. We are currently looking for a highly organized and structured individual for the position of Preconstruction Analyst. This role is essential for strategically coordinating and distributing incoming bids, ensuring technical analysis, budget control, and monitoring key estimation metrics. Responsibilities: - Download, organize, and classify all bid invitations and drawings received from clients. - Maintain a clean, standardized, and updated shared folder structure for all incoming projects. - Ensure that all project documentation (drawings, specifications, addenda) is complete, up-to-date, and properly filed. - Analyze drawings and specifications to understand the structural scope and classify project size. - Determine the assignment of each bid based on the internal estimating team's capacity, project complexity and tonnage, deadline, and budget availability for subcontracting. - Confirm the handoff of each project with the assigned estimator (internal or external). - Monitor addenda, RFIs, and project updates, ensuring estimators receive all supplementary information on time. - Track budget and tonnage for each bid. - Receive and log any claims related to estimates reported by the commercial team. - Follow up on the frequency, causes, and resolution status of claims for internal analysis. Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, estimating, or engineering coordination. - Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and cloud storage tools (Google Drive, SharePoint, etc.). - Experience in managing and reporting on budgets and cost metrics. - Knowledge of tracking key metrics and tonnage. - C1-level English – conversational proficiency.
