This position reports to District Sales Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of Electrification Smart Buildings products within the Columbia, SC and surrounding areas, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities. While this is a remote position, successful candidates will be located in the Columbia, SC metro area. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in the United States. You will be mainly accountable for: Identifying and tracking upcoming sales opportunities and influencing customer specifications to favor ABB and to increase market share in the commercial, industrial and governmental market segments. Educating the customer base about differentiating products with technical presentations. Introducing new products to the existing customer base and identifying target customers. Collaborating with Product Managers by identifying product gaps, providing input on new product introductions, and sharing customer feedback. Generating cross-selling leads and making it easier to do business with ABB Industrial Solutions. Qualifications for the role Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related is required with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience in large commercial construction and industrial projects, preferably in the electrical products industry. Experience working with electrical contractors and channel partners is required. In-depth knowledge of the region's electrical industry and ABB products is desired. Must have the ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools; Salesforce.com experience preferred. Ability to apply Six Sigma to improve customer satisfaction and Six Sigma or equivalent quality training is a plus. Understanding and experience with the full portfolio of products and services (including power distribution one line and installation products) is preferred.
