What you will do The Procurement Manager, R&D; Category is responsible for managing day-to-day operational activities, proposing purchasing policies, conducting internal audits, managing budget and manpower acquisition, negotiating supplier contracts and overseeing departmental performance against objectives: Key Responsibilities · Develop and implement innovative procurement strategies for the R&D; category to drive cost savings, simplification and efficiency · Lead cross-functional teams to identify and qualify new suppliers for R&D; materials and services · Use market intelligence and industry trends to negotiate contracts and ensure competitive pricing · Collaborate with R&D; stakeholders to understand their unique requirements and provide tailored procurement solutions · Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes and enhance supplier relationships · Lead the procurement strategy for R&D; category in alignment with overall business objectives · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement procurement policies and procedures · Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with departmental policies and quality standards · Manage budget and resources effectively to achieve cost controls and stay within budget parameters · Provide input to departmental objectives and communicate them to the team for performance tracking · Review market trends and pricing to make informed decisions on supplier selection and contract negotiations · Establish and maintain effective communication with vendors to ensure product, service, and quality standards are met · Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to optimize procurement efficiency
