Job Description Concordia Visiting Nurses, a Medicare-certified home health agency in Western Pennsylvania, seeks a Full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to serve patients in the Bridgeville and Upper St. Clair area. Position Summary The Certified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy treatment under the supervision of a Registered and Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) to patients in their homes as prescribed by the attending physician. Qualifications - Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. - Certified as a physical therapy assistant with an indirect license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. - Performed a minimum of 2,000 hours of physical-therapy related acts signed off by a supervising LPT. - Reliable, independent means of transportation to make home visits. Duties and Responsibilities - Makes home visits to patients in accordance with the physician's plan of care. - Implements the therapy program established by the LPT, providing services to prevent disability, relieve pain, restore function and independence to achieve the patient's full potential following disease or injury. - Assists in teaching patients and planning discharge from physical therapy services. - Completes required documentation for ongoing service on the day of the visit.
