Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) Engineering at EA ensures game excellence, providing insights into game readiness and player experience through advanced software solutions. We're developing an internal platform (QTP) to enhance tool delivery for QVS engineering teams. The group responsible for QTP is looking for an Engineering Manager to oversee the health, growth, and effectiveness of the teams, with a focus on improving the developer experience. You will manage people, foster team culture, and optimize development processes through productivity metrics. Reporting to the QTP product owner, you will collaborate with QTP team leaders to meet organizational goals while promoting a collaborative, inclusive, and safe environment. Responsibilities: Oversee the health and growth of a team of 8 engineers across two teams developing the Quality Technology Platform. Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and career development initiatives. Promote engineering excellence, best practices, tooling, and automation. Analyze team metrics to improve development processes. Attract and retain top talent, ensuring diversity and inclusion. Create a psychologically safe environment where team members feel valued. Ensure efficient processes and environment for productivity. Inspire the team to achieve their best work while balancing growth. Represent the team in organizational discussions and advocate for their needs.
