Job Description Become our client’s Bookkeeper and take charge of financial operations for residential buildings in New York City. From monthly reports and year-end financials to invoice processing, bank reconciliations, and transaction recording—you’ll keep everything accurate and on track. This full-time, client-facing role runs from 9 AM to 5 PM EST. Job Overview Employment type: Indefinite Term Contract Shift: Monday to Friday | 9 AM – 5 PM EST Work setup: Onsite – Bogotá or Medellin Your Daily Tasks Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between financial records and statements Assist the legal team by gathering, completing, and filing financial forms for property tax appeals Coordinate with accountants, CPAs, tax attorneys, vendors, tenants, and owners to resolve bookkeeping issues Support budgeting efforts by answering questions and recommending actions when financial risks arise Research and build expertise in NYC co-op, condo, and rental building financial practices Import financial data from previous property management companies into internal systems Guide new tenants through the AppFolio payment portal enrollment process Upload and maintain accurate resident, owner, and tenant information in AppFolio Requirements The Qualifications We Seek Must-Have: C1 level English proficiency (spoken and written) 3+ years of bookkeeping experience , ideally in property management , condos , or r eal estate finance Strongly assertive, detail-oriented, and confident in client-facing roles Proven experience in bank reconciliations, invoice processing, budget support, and monthly financial reporting Familiarity with U.S. accounting standards or real estate finance workflows Nice-to-Have: Experience using AppFolio or similar property management platforms Background working with CPAs, attorneys, and property stakeholders Prior experience with U.S.-based clients or NYC property portfolios Benefits Exciting Perks Await! 5 days work week Weekends off 20 vacation days in total Prepaid medicine Fully-customized Emapta laptop and peripherals Indefinite term type contract Direct exposure to our clients Career growth opportunities Diverse and supportive work environment Prime Office Locations - Bogotá and Medellin Unlimited upskilling through Emapta Academy courses (Want to know more?
