Exciting opportunity at the International Department of the Rainforest Foundation Norway! Rainforest Foundation Norway seeks an experienced Partners Finance Adviser for the Peru and Colombia program. We are looking for a Partners Finance Adviser responsible for capacity building of partners regarding financial policies, compliance, internal control, and best practices related to financial management (aligned with RFN procedures). The role also involves providing onsite technical support to partners. About Rainforest Foundation Norway: RFN is one of Europe's leading organizations dedicated to protecting rainforests and advocating for indigenous peoples and local communities (IPLC). For over three decades, we have built a vibrant network and engaged strongly in the Amazon, partnering with civil society organizations to drive impactful change. Location: Peru or Colombia (Home Office). The position requires collaboration across different countries and time zones. Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the head of the relevant country program. Travel Requirements: Frequent travel within Peru, Colombia, and the Amazon region is expected. International travel for training, conferences, and meetings at RFN’s headquarters in Oslo, Norway, may also be required. Key Responsibilities: Provide onsite technical support and enhance the administrative capacity of partners, adhering to RFN procedures. Conduct assessments and analyses of financial management, guiding and supporting RFN staff within the responsibility area. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, programs, and processes. Coordinate internal communication within the department and with other departments to ensure process quality. Maintain external communication to advise, inform, and guide stakeholders. The list of key responsibilities is not exhaustive; other tasks may be assigned. Necessary Competencies, Skills, and Experience: Advanced knowledge in financial management, acquired through higher education (preferably a master's degree) and relevant experience. Formal education can be compensated by experience. Knowledge of national regulations for NGOs, CSOs, and indigenous organizations. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Experience in multicultural and international environments. Fluency in English (written and verbal) and in the relevant country language(s), particularly Spanish. Strong communication skills, active listening, and polished writing. Experience in development cooperation is a strong asset. Proficiency with relevant tools such as Excel, spreadsheets, and finance systems. Ability to assess opportunities, challenges, and stakeholders effectively.
