We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to work closely with one of our main clients in the financial sector. Main tasks and responsibilities include: 1. Collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to understand needs and design data-driven solutions. 2. Leading prototyping workshops to clarify objectives and collaborating across Global Technology Shared Services to implement solutions. 3. Understanding approaches for building self-service and corporate BI solutions, including data sources and ETL processes. 4. Driving reporting efficiencies, sharing best practices, and training Power BI report designers and consumers. 5. Acting as a Power BI product evangelist, staying updated with technology trends, and understanding use cases and alternatives. 6. Contributing to the Power Platform center of excellence to establish governance structures. 7. Assessing adoption and satisfaction, working with product teams and UX specialists. 8. Being a collaborative change ambassador with a creative approach to problem-solving. What UST expects from you? - Highly skilled in data analysis, modeling, and ETL process design. - Over 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer. - Expertise in SQL, performance tuning, and handling large data volumes. - Understanding of enterprise big data architectures. - Experience with reporting and analytics solutions such as Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, SSAS. - Knowledge of Azure platform components like Data Lakes, Data Warehouse, Data Factory. - Experience with Power Platform solutions including Power Automate and Power Apps, and Power BI. - Familiarity with the full Software Development Lifecycle, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, and CI/CD practices. - Understanding security models within data estates. - Proficiency in English (C1), working with international teams. Nice to have: - Experience building reporting governance frameworks and driving organizational adoption. - Experience with SAFe practices. - Familiarity with data interfaces like APIs, Snowflake, various databases, and file formats. - Understanding of Data Quality approaches such as shift left. Work location and schedule 100% remote within Spain. Business hours, with no intensive workdays on Fridays or during summer.
