Job Description: * DUTIES AND **RESPONSIBILITIES** - The Weapons Systems Supervisor will, under the supervision of the INL - Interdiction Chief, assist in the development, installation, and management of the Antinarcotics Police (DIRAN), Mobile Carabineros Squadrons (EMCAR), Unidad Tactica del Grupo Inteligencia Naval (UT-GRUIN) Weapon Systems and Inventories. The Weapon Systems Supervisor shall possess the required skills, to include expertise in the maintenance and operation of the following weapon systems: M16, M4, M203, M249,M60 E3, Remington M700, 40MM Grenade Launcher MK19,MP5, M590 Mossberg Shotguns, Berretta M9, Sig-Sauer P228, and weapon accessories (EoTech sights, ACOG sights, Aim Point sights, Leopold sights, and rails) In addition, the Weapon System Supervisor will assist in the maintenance, inspection, and record keeping of all the weapons systems. - Train selected DIRAN, Carabineros, and GRUIN personnel to conduct Basic Operator weapon maintenance consisting of operation and adjustments, preventive care and maintenance. Train selected personnel in Intermediate Level maintenance technicians’ course consisting of basic theory and operations course, plus required additional training in component replacement. Train selected personnel in Inspector/Supervisor course consisting of basic and intermediate course with addition of weapons facility supervision and management responsibilities, inspection procedures, records and inventory management. All training will be formal classroom and over-the-shoulder/on-the-job training. - Configure, test and install weapons systems test and repair equipment to include all accessories. - Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on DIRAN, EMCAR, and GRUIN weapon systems. - Assist the CNP weapon technicians assigned to DIRAN/EMCAR/GRUIN with physical inventories (to include accessories) and maintain close coordination with the DIRAN/EMCAR/GRUIN officers assigned to the project. - Conduct surveys of existing DIRAN/ EMCAR/GRUIN weapon systems, make recommendations to INL on improvements, needed repairs; - Make recommendations to INL to maintain sustainable nationalization program with respects to the weapons program. **Job Requirements**: **MINIMUM **QUALIFICATIONS** **EDUCATION**: - Applicant needs to be high school graduate. - Formal military, police or equivalent civilian training in methods of weapons maintenance, instruction, storage and management. **LANGUAGE **LEVEL**: - Spanish level IV: Fluent - English level : English not required **EXPERIENCE** Minimum of ten years related work experience, in positions of increasing responsibility. **KNOWLEDGE** OF: * Extensive knowledge of Night Vision Systems, Test Equipment, and thermal cameras. **SKILLS **IN**: - The Weapon Systems Supervisor shall possess the required skills, to include expertise in the maintenance and operation of the following weapon systems: M16, M4, M203, M249,M60 E3, Remington M700, 40MM Grenade Launcher MK19,MP5, M590 Mossberg Shotguns, Berretta M9, Sig-Sauer P228, and weapon accessories (EoTech sights, ACOG sights, Aim Point sights, Leopold sights, and rails) - Time management, must be able to resolve issues concerning requirements for the assigned projects with the procurement staff. - Dealing with people within the program, and ensuring customer satisfaction with work completed. **ABILITY **TO**: - Multitask in several simultaneous projects. - Coordinate work activities with team leaders and other coworkers is a must. - Understand and follow oral and written instructions in the Spanish language. - Work cooperatively with other US Government and Colombian employees **TRAINING**: Incumbent should have Minimum of level III certified Inspector III Inspector for Night Vision Systems Maintenance. Formal military, police or equivalent civilian training in methods of instruction, instructor, etc.
