Position Summary: The Boating Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing daily, weekly, and monthly operations to ensure boats are well-maintained, rental-ready, and operating efficiently. This role involves process development, pilot supervision, maintenance oversight, scheduling, and compliance adherence. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills, a passion for boating, and a commitment to operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Oversight of Operations Monitor daily boat schedules to ensure timely departures and arrivals. Oversee safety checks and operational procedures before each trip. Schedule and manage pilots based on reservations and operational needs. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback. Boat Condition Management Develop and implement proactive maintenance schedules. Ensure timely completion of maintenance and adherence to safety standards. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs. Conduct regular boat inspections to identify and address operational or safety concerns. Scheduling and Reservations Oversee scheduling of reservations and excursions. Collaborate with front desk and sales teams for efficient booking management. Sales and Marketing Responsibilities Collaborate with the sales team to develop promotional strategies and identify trends. Address customer inquiries and ensure exceptional satisfaction through quality service delivery. Third-Party Contractor Oversight Vet and select third-party contractors to maximize the value of services provided. Conduct price analysis and negotiate favorable contracts for maintenance, cleaning, and other operational needs. Reporting and Compliance Prepare detailed reports on operational performance, maintenance, and sales metrics. Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to boating operations. Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments. Ensure all boating paperwork is up to date, including permits, licenses, and safety documentation. Qualifications: Proven experience in operations management, preferably in boating or maritime industries. Strong organizational and process-development skills. Knowledge of boating safety regulations and maintenance practices. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
