Position Purpose: The Accounting and Taxes Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation and accuracy of the company's accounting records, ensuring full compliance with Colombia tax regulations. This role supports the Finance Manager in financial reporting, tax planning, and audits, while also supervising daily accounting operations to guarantee timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. Job Requirements:



Supervise daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP. Prepare and file monthly tax returns (IVA,Retefuente, Rete ICA, Renta anual, etc.) in compliance with DIAN regulations. Assist with tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s tax position within legal boundaries. Review and maintain compliance with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions. Support internal and external audits by providing requested financial information and documentation. Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies in line with corporate standards. Coordinate with external tax advisors and regulatory entities when necessary. Train and supervise junior accounting staff to ensure high performance and adherence to deadlines. Monitor changes in local tax laws and provide impact assessments to management. Other duties as assigned Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree as CPA, Master in Finance Business Administration preferable Minimum 5 years in Finance, Local Accounting, taxes and reporting, experience leading teams is a plus CPA or registered accountant status in Colombia Strong knowledge of Colombia tax laws and compliance requirements. Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) Knowledge and practical application of financial reporting concepts and preferred business practices Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines Detail Oriented; Strong data management and analytical skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Strong work-ethic and team players with the ability to multi-task Advance English Level C1 If you’ve got the skills to succeed and the motivation to make it happen, we look forward to hearing from you.
