What you will do The Procurement Manager, R&D; Category is responsible for managing day-to-day operational activities, proposing purchasing policies, conducting internal audits, managing budget and manpower acquisition, negotiating supplier contracts and overseeing departmental performance against objectives: Key Responsibilities 1. Develop and implement innovative procurement strategies for the R&D; category to drive cost savings, simplification and efficiency. 2. Lead cross-functional teams to identify and qualify new suppliers for R&D; materials and services. 3. Use market intelligence and industry trends to negotiate contracts and ensure competitive pricing. 4. Collaborate with R&D; stakeholders to understand their unique requirements and provide tailored procurement solutions. 5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes and enhance supplier relationships. 6. Lead the procurement strategy for R&D; category in alignment with overall business objectives. 7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement procurement policies and procedures. 8. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with departmental policies and quality standards. 9. Manage budget and resources effectively to achieve cost controls and stay within budget parameters. 10. Provide input to departmental objectives and communicate them to the team for performance tracking. 11. Review market trends and pricing to make informed decisions on supplier selection and contract negotiations. 12. Establish and maintain effective communication with vendors to ensure product, service, and quality standards are met. 13. Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to optimize procurement efficiency. Qualifications What we are looking for Required Qualifications 1. Minimum 6-8 years of proven working experience in procurement management. 2. University/Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in relevant field. 3. Proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects and achieving cost savings targets. 4. Strong negotiation skills and ability to build strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. 5. Experience in managing procurement operations in R&D; category is a plus. 6. Knowledge of procurement frameworks and best practices. Desired Qualifications 1. Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements in a dynamic environment. 2.
