Job Description As a Senior Software Engineer you’ll be a member of our Software Integrations team and responsible for developing software integrations and applications for J.S. Held’s internal systems. You’ll create reliable and accurate code to ensure system data is updated across the enterprise. You will build solutions in Microsoft Azure cloud using serverless technology. You will participate in problem solving and planning sessions to come up with the best solution for implementation. Our team is geographically dispersed and therefore the ability to be self-directed your work is critical. We are a team of collaborative self-starters, and we seek the same. Responsibilities: - Maintain and upgrade existing integrations and applications. - Design and create new integrations and applications for enterprise systems. - Participate in code reviews. - Perform and document unit and integration tests before software roll-out. - Maintain solution documents and ensure they are stored properly (visual code flows, requirements, API token information, meeting notes, etc.). - Troubleshoot and fix software bugs and performance issues. - Serve as an elevated support person for integration solutions. - Resolve complex programming issues. - Use version control repositories to store software code (Git). Qualifications Required qualifications: - English Proficiency Required: Full Professional Proficiency. - 7+ years of professional experience in software development. - Extensive experience developing applications using C# and .NET. - Experience working with source control technologies, particularly Git. - Proficient in API design and development. - Experience with Azure API Management for API lifecycle management. - Strong expertise in developing cloud solutions using Azure services such as Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, among others. - Skilled in modern front-end development using Angular (18+) and TypeScript. - Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate). - Experienced in using Docker to build, manage, and deploy containerized applications. - Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including ARM templates and Bicep. - Hands-on experience with Transact-SQL for data manipulation and database development. - Understanding of different data formats such as JSON and XML. - Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum mainly). - Understanding of object-oriented programming. - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent. - Ability to work independently as well as an integral part of a team. - Must have the ability to respond to rapidly changing environments. - Strong communication and problem-solving skills. - Solid understanding of software development patterns and best practices (e.g., SOLID principles, design patterns). Preferred qualifications: - Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification. - Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate certification. - Proficiency in Node.js for backend development. - Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. - Familiarity with Azure Monitor and Kusto Query Language (KQL) for observability and diagnostics. - Understanding of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for identity and access management. - Strong grasp of OAuth2 and SAML authentication protocols. - Experience with Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) solutions such as Boomi or Workato.
