Responsibilities Collaborate with engineers to develop and implement technical specifications. Mentor junior engineering staff to provide technical and professional growth opportunities. Set clear goals, expectations, and priorities for the team. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members to deliver high-quality results. Facilitate workshops and training sessions as needed. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices. Have relevant work experience and hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining OpenStack clusters. Stay current on technologies and trends to make informed suggestions and decisions for the technology roadmap. Due to government requirements, you must be able to apply for and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. Therefore, only U.S. citizens will be considered for this role. Qualifications Experience with Terraform and Ansible. Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.). Experience with MAAS (Metal-as-a-Service), Juju Charms, and OpenStack. Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Linux (Ubuntu or Debian-based operating systems). Experience with Docker and Docker Compose. Experience with cloud services such as AWS, GCS, or Microsoft Azure. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of technical staff and foster an innovative, collaborative, and high-performance culture. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
