Job Title: Information Technology Security Specialist Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Information Technology Security Specialist to join our team. As an IT security specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing IT security related events, designing and implementing security controls, participating in IT security assessments, and resolving IT security problems. The ideal candidate will have expertise across a variety of security products including firewalls, information security, and virus protection. They must be well-organized, able to analyze an IT security problem in a short timeframe, and have a drive to remain current with the latest updates about security threats and solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure build-in security during the development stages of software systems, networks, and data centers. - Monitor hardware and software for vulnerabilities and risks. - Constantly monitor security events, incidents, and intrusions to identify breaches in time and communicate them to the IT team. - Respond to potential threats or breaches by addressing security vulnerabilities. - Analyze IT specifications to assess security risks. - Design and implement security-related controls. - Serve as a security expert and conduct training when needed. - Draft policies and guidelines. - Participate in audits, risk assessments, and relevant activities. - Investigate the IT environment in a proactive and discerning way to make necessary proposals for improvement in time. - Liaise with vendors to implement security solutions. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications: - Ability to prioritize projects. - Drive to remain current with the latest updates about security threats and solutions. - Expertise across a variety of security products including firewalls, information security, and virus protection. - Well-organized and able to analyze an IT security problem in a short timeframe. - Understanding of best security practices and how to implement them at a business-wide level. - Love to work in a multicultural team. - Min.
