IT Specialist ? CCTV Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled IT Specialist to support the deployment and configuration of Hikvision video surveillance systems within a transportation environment. This role involves the full lifecycle implementation of 4/8MP IP cameras, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), HikCentral video management software, decoders, iVMS, DW Spectrum, and video wall systems, all within a Hub-and-Spoke network architecture. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in complex, multi-site surveillance deployments across transportation hubs such as bus terminals, train stations, or logistics centers. Key Responsibilities: 1. Surveillance System Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain Hikvision 4/8MP IP cameras across multiple transportation facilities. Deploy and manage HikCentral Professional, iVMS-4200, and DW Spectrum VMS. Configure HikCentral Professional/Enterprise for central video management, alerts, and analytics. Program and maintain decoders and their integration into real-time video wall displays. 2. Video Wall Integration: Design and deploy video wall systems for control rooms using Hikvision decoders and display management software. Configure video wall layouts to support live monitoring, event alerts, and critical surveillance feeds. Troubleshoot and optimize real-time playback, stream distribution, and camera matrix switching. 3. Network & Architecture Design: Implement a Hub-and-Spoke architecture connecting central monitoring centers with remote locations. Perform bandwidth analysis and latency optimization for camera streaming across WAN and LAN environments. 4. Operations, Monitoring & Support: Proactively monitor system health, perform diagnostics, and apply firmware updates. Provide remote support for operational teams, especially during transport operations. 5. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of camera placements, IP schema, system credentials, and architecture diagrams. Use HikCentral to generate event logs, system health reports, and video evidence exports. Required Qualifications: 2+ years of hands-on experience with Hikvision IP cameras, NVRs, and HikCentral platforms. Proven experience integrating and managing video walls in a control room setting. Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, VLANs, multicast, QoS, and bandwidth planning. Experience deploying surveillance systems in transportation hubs (airports, bus terminals, rail networks, or logistics centers). Ability to design and interpret surveillance layout plans and network diagrams. Preferred Qualifications: Hikvision Certified Security Associate (HCSA) or higher certification.
