Hiring Department The University of Missouri School of Medicine - Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Job Description The School of Medicine - Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking a highly motivated, engaged, and committed Nurse Clinician to join a fast-paced, highly productive team. Our orthopaedic service includes: Attending Physicians, Fellow/Resident Physicians, Extender Practitioners, Nurses, ATC/OTCs, Clinical Administrative Coordinators, Research Faculty, Research Technical Teams, and Students. Our clinicians work across locations in Columbia, Jefferson City, Boonville, Liberty, and Springfield. The ideal candidate will significantly contribute to our department's mission: advancing clinical care, research, and teaching in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Missouri. This role involves supporting the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute and C3 Orthopaedics Initiative, which promotes a culture of rapid learning and continuous improvement. We seek candidates who are proactive, positive, personable, adaptable, organized, and detail-oriented. Position Overview Build relationships and understanding within the department to provide optimal clinical support. Support the service line team to ensure long-term success. Provide medical information, direct patient care, and emotional support to patients and families. Assist clinicians during clinics and surgeries, supervise patient flow, and handle scheduling and patient inquiries. Coordinate with ancillary services and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care. Organize surgeries and coordinate equipment with staff and vendors. Support research and teaching efforts by collaborating with various teams and departments. Shift Typically, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility. Office/Admin hours are included. No alternative schedule flexibility. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent education/experience. Two years of RN experience in a specialized area. Missouri RN license or multi-state compact license, with compliance upon residency change. Anticipated Hiring Range $75,275.20 - $109,553.60 annually, Grade: PAT-RN4, Title: NURSE CLINICIAN. Internal applicants can verify their title via myHR.
