Key responsibilities and authority: Verify needs, authorizations and initiate the procurement process. Create purchase requisitions. Support endpoint devices and software purchase contracts and communication with resellers and vendors. Obtain and review competitive bids, quotes, and proposals from vendors and contractors. Discuss evaluations and review with requesters and subject matter experts. Provide pricing quotes for items and prepare orders with suppliers. Establish and maintain vendor relationships per state procurement rules. Track contract renewal dates and initiate renewal processes. Coordinate with selected vendors on supply and delivery of purchased items. Identify and manage computing contracts consolidation opportunities. Key requirements: Experience in a similar position for at least 2 years. Experience with service administration portals to monitor deployments and warranties. Knowledge of procurement principles, and differences in conditions for different countries. Deep knowledge in dealing with global vendors and resellers. Understanding of IT asset management principles and practices. Experience in auditing from vendors. Experience with SAP preferred. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Education/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management is preferred. Proven experience in vendor management in an IT setting. Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
