Transportation Procurement Lead We are seeking a seasoned transportation procurement lead to manage strategic relationships with key suppliers. This role involves developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, ensuring optimal cost management and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver exceptional service. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute comprehensive procurement plans aligned with business objectives, including tender processes. - Evaluate and select qualified transportation service providers, negotiating contracts and SLAs. - Maintain close relationships with logistics teams to enhance process improvement and analysis. - Collaborate with the legal and quality departments on contract and agreement matters. - Analyze costs and propose solutions to optimize transportation expenses. - Manage and resolve logistics-related issues, maintaining accurate supplier information. The successful candidate will also develop and implement targeted sales strategies to drive revenue growth through client satisfaction. Additional Responsibilities - Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic clients as the primary point of contact. - Develop customized plans for each key account, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling. - Analyze client needs and provide tailored solutions. - Work with internal teams (marketing, product, customer service) to ensure excellent service delivery. - Monitor client performance, providing regular reports on satisfaction and sales development. - Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements, preparing tenders as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in logistics companies with roles in developing transportation services (FTL and LTL, national and international). - Ability to manage a team of employees, both in-person and remote. - Proficiency in managing Italian and/or international clients. - Excellent command of English. - Strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, and a commercial mindset.
