Lead & Develop High-Performing Teams: Mentor, guide, and manage collections managers and their teams, fostering a culture of excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement. Oversee Complex Bankruptcy Cases: Manage the company's approach to bankruptcy proceedings (Chapters 7, 11, 13), collaborating with legal and finance to protect assets and ensure compliance. Ensure Regulatory Compliance & Mitigate Risk: Guarantee all collections activities adhere strictly to legal requirements (e.g., FDCPA, bankruptcy laws) and internal policies. Drive Account Resolution & Performance: Oversee the management of aged receivables and complex account resolutions, utilizing data analysis and reporting to track progress and identify improvement areas. Manage Key Stakeholder Relationships: Serve as the primary liaison for collections matters with senior leadership, legal teams, and cross-functional partners. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (required). Master in Business preferred 10+ years of experience in collections, finance, or accounts receivable, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role. In-depth knowledge of bankruptcy laws and procedures (Chapter 7, Chapter 11, Chapter 13) and experience dealing with bankruptcy claims and filings. Proven track record of managing complex collections cases, negotiating settlements, and improving collection rates. REQUIREMENTS Expertise in Collections & Bankruptcy Management: Deep understanding and practical application of collections strategies, AR, credit risk, regulatory compliance (FDCPA), and complex bankruptcy proceedings (Chapters 7, 11, 13), including relevant software (e.g., Oracle). Strategic Leadership & Team Development: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire collections teams (5+ years management experience required), setting strategic direction and fostering a high-performance, compliant culture. Strong Financial Acumen & Analytical Decision-Making: Expertise in analyzing collections data, managing financial performance (cash flow, bad debt), identifying key trends, and reporting insights to leadership (Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required).
