Role Overview In the role of Design Manager, you will lead and coordinate the design function for high-profile construction projects in the UAE. This role involves managing all design deliverables, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely execution in collaboration with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams. As a Design Manager at ALEC Holdings, you will be responsible for: - Managing and coordinating design activities between client, construction, and consultants. - Overseeing design documentation, submittals, approvals, and ensuring alignment with contractual and program requirements. - Monitoring and reporting on design progress; leading weekly/monthly reporting. - Ensuring technical compliance, reviewing calculations and shop drawings (structural, rebar, BSS, MEP). - Authorizing material submittals, invoices, and design change documentation. - Coordinating with authorities for NOC and support submissions. - Leading, motivating, and delegating within the design team; overseeing document control and QA/QC. - Supporting project delivery by aligning design with planning, procurement, and site operations. We are looking for a highly experienced Design Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have: - A degree in Civil Engineering or related field. - Minimum 10 years' experience in construction design management. - Proficiency in design tools (STAAD, Prokon, ETABS, AutoCAD). - Strong MS Office and Adobe Acrobat skills. - Proven leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
