Job Summary The backend engineering team ensures that they deliver innovative, immersive web and mobile experiences that delight our clients and their customers. Working in collaboration with multi-disciplinary engineering, design, and quality assurance teams, you will build software that solves real-world problems for incredible clients. Responsibilities - Write high-quality, testable, and maintainable Java code that sets a standard for the team. - Implement robust security measures using Spring Security and industry best practices. - Integrate with relational databases (MySQL) and design efficient, scalable data models. - Build and manage event-driven systems using messaging queues like Kafka. - Collaborate effectively in an Agile/Scrum framework with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. - Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure code quality and maintainability. Qualifications and Job Requirements - 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Java and the Spring ecosystem. - Deep expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security. - Proficiency in Java 17+ features and modern programming practices. - Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and core engineering principles (SOLID, KISS, DRY). - Proven experience building, securing, and consuming RESTful APIs and web services. - Hands-on experience with relational databases (MySQL). - Understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native principles. - Experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure acceptable). - Strong version control skills (Git). - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Good to have - Kubernetes and Docker container orchestration experience. - Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana). - CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance experience. - Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB). - Familiarity with API Gateway patterns and tools (Spring Cloud Gateway, Apigee). - Financial services / FinTech domain experience. - Contributions to open-source projects. - Experience with other cloud providers.
