Key Priorities for the Role: - Know manufacturingprocesses in the “Dairy & Food” industry. - (Valuable)Knowledge in drying processes. - Generate pre-engineering ofprojects: - Block diagrams - P&IDs; - Layout (Matching processrequirements: Drains, pipe mass, operation and safetyrequirements…) - Calculation of product losses - Calculation ofbudget for the project equipment and execution. - Dimensioning,equipment list generation and ordering of thermal and mechanicalequipment (pumps, pipes, steam, valves, heat exchangers…) for the“Dairy & Food” powder industry - Coordinate with differentareas (sales, procurement, external GEA offices and technologicalcenters of competence, logistics, electrical and automationengineering, process engineering, project management) for themanufacturing and installation of equipment in the region - Analyzeproject cost and prepare schedule plans for effectiveimplementation of this project - Review existing processengineering and make necessary changes to support project executionwhen necessary - Lead technical design reviews for projects incollaboration with cross-functional teams - Use of 2D design tools- AutoCAD - Conduct technical discussions and order clarificationmeetings with customers and/or end suppliers, to ensure that theengineering meets customer and process requirements. - Providetechnical problem support and claim resolution, including rootcause analysis - Act as a facilitator between counterparts or othercompetencies - General engineering and consulting work - Detailengineering of projects, if needed - Drive improvement of technicalsolutions and secure best technology and learning is implementedinto our engineering work and process design to the benefit of ourcustomers - Drive improvement of technical solutions and secureproper technology and design, to comply with the guidelines ofhygiene and sanitation regulatory bodies (i.e., EHEDG, 3A) -(Valuable) Use of 3D design tools Your Profile / QualificationsEducational Background - Degree in engineering: Chemical and Food(Preferred), Industrial and Mechanical (Depending on applicableexperience) - (Valuable) Master’s Degree and/or specific trainingsin related technical technologies / processes Profesional Knowledgeand Experience - 5+ Years of experience working in medium sizedprojects for the “Dairy & Food” industry - (Valuable) Knowledgeof main engineering calculation and design tools Other Skills &Competencies; - Ability to learn - Analysis and problem solving -Decision making - Initiative - Planning & Organization -English B2 or better - Creativity - Customer oriented What will youfind being part of GEA? - Exciting professional challenges withample opportunities for development and training in a globaloperating environment. - A work culture that promotes the spirit ofinnovation where our engineers create, develop and implementworld-class solutions. - We believe in delivering a true workexperience in an equal opportunity environment that valuesdifference and diversity. - Market competitive salary and benefitscomplemented by flexible and autonomous work arrangements.
