Role Description: The Staff Accountant will perform a diverse set of responsibilities including the preparation of financial reports, general bookkeeping, account reconciliations, AP and AR management including collections, maintaining a general ledger and other duties as they are assigned. Key Responsibilities: Process invoices for payment, prepare adjusting journal entries, and review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences Prepare detailed reports including information on assets, net worth, liabilities, income, or expenditures Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology Inspect cash on hand, notes receivable and payable, negotiable securities, and canceled checks to confirm records are accurate Report to management about asset utilization and financial review results, recommending changes in operations and financial activities. Required Skills: Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience working in a fast-paced and high growth environment Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of an accounting month end close process Preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including expertise in easily creating logic formulas and pivot tables Skilled at managing processes and multiple projects at a time through coordination and prioritization practices.
