The Professional Services (ProServe)team is seeking a skilled Sr. Data Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll work closely withcustomers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meettheir technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be akey player in driving customer success through their cloud journey,providing technical expertise and best practices throughout theproject lifecycle. Possessing a deep understanding of AWS productsand services, as a Sr. Data Architect you will be proficient inarchitecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored tomeet the specific needs of each customer. You’ll work closely withstakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure,and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. As trustedadvisors to our customers, providing guidance on industry trends,emerging technologies, and innovative solutions, you will beresponsible for leading the implementation process, ensuringadherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managingrisks throughout the project. These professional servicesengagements will focus on customer solutions such as Data and Business intelligence, machine Learning and batch/real-time dataprocessing. Key job responsibilities As an experienced technologyprofessional, you will be responsible for: 1. Help the customer todefine and implement data architectures (Data Lake, Lake House,Data Mesh, etc). Engagements include short on-site projects provingthe use of AWS Data services to support new distributed computingsolutions that often span private cloud and public cloud services.2. Deliver on-site technical assessments with partners andcustomers. This includes participating in pre-sales visits,understanding customer requirements, creating packaged Data &Analytics; service offerings. 3. Engaging with the customer’sbusiness and technology stakeholders to create a compelling visionof a data-driven enterprise in their environment. Create newartifacts that promote code reuse. 4. Collaborate with AWS fieldsales, pre-sales, training and support teams to help partners andcustomers learn and use AWS services such as Athena, Glue, Lambda,S3, DynamoDB, Amazon EMR and Amazon Redshift. Since this is acustomer facing role, you might be required to travel to clientlocations and deliver professional services when needed, up to 50%. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 1. 5+ years ofexperience in cloud architecture and implementation, preferablywith AWS 2. 5+ years of database (eg. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark,Kafka, Kinesis) experience 3. 5+ Experience delivering cloudprojects or cloud based solutions 4. Able to communicateeffectively in English, within technical and business settings. 5. Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. 5+ years of external or internalcustomer facing, complex and large scale project managementexperience 2. Proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g.,EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation) 3. Experience withautomation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python) 4. Expertise inperformance optimization and cost management for cloud environments5. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in afast-paced environment 6.
