Description Purpose: The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing day-of operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services to both prospective and existing customers. This role leads a team of Scheduling Coordinators, providing direction and support to meet daily business demands. The Logistics Coordinator proactively identifies customer needs, resolves inquiries, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize coordination processes. Through strong leadership and operational oversight, this role plays a key part in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving continuous improvement in service delivery. Essential Functions: Oversee day-of operations to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate scheduling and dispatch of ready-mix deliveries. Monitor and manage the daily caseload, adjust schedules, and dispatch plans in real time to meet customer and operational demands. Provide daily reports on dispatch recaps, driver schedules, delivery performance, and job site activity to leadership and key stakeholders. Ensure optimal truck utilization and route efficiency while maintaining compliance with safety and DOT regulations. Collaborate with plant personnel, dispatchers, drivers, and sales teams to coordinate deliveries and resolve scheduling conflicts. Lead and support a team of Scheduling Coordinators to maintain seamless communication, accountability, and operational alignment. Quickly respond to unplanned changes such as equipment breakdowns, weather delays, or customer rescheduling needs to maintain service continuity. Analyze dispatch data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for process improvement. Maintain ambitious standards of customer service through initiative-taking communication, problem resolution, and consistent follow-up. Ensure all planning activities support and align with company KPIs, customer expectations, and daily business goals. Requirements Minimum Requirements: HS diploma required. Prior experience in the ready-mix concrete industry. Demonstrated familiarity with DOT rules and regulations preferred or ability to learn within the first six months. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in customer service, or a similar customer support role. Familiarity of the properties, characteristics, and performance of ready-mix concrete preferred. Proficient in applicable Microsoft Excel and Outlook and understanding dispatching software like Integra or TrackIt. Working knowledge of assigned surrounding geographical areas Proficiency in reading, understanding, speaking, writing, and using the English language; including the ability to understand, interpret and use construction specifications and concrete mix designs. Demonstrated knowledge of online customer engagement platforms and channels. Great organizational and time management abilities. Excellent communication, listening, and organizational skills. Effective communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills. Willing to work overtime, varying shifts, and some Saturdays. Physical Demands: Requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting. Must occasionally lift or move objects up to fifty pounds. Requires ability to operate tools, machinery, or computer systems effectively.
