Associate - Valuation Services Location: Bogota, Colombia (Full-time, In-office) About Us HDH Advisors is a leading business valuation firm providing comprehensive appraisal services to clients across various industries. Our team delivers high-quality valuation reports for estate planning, gift tax reporting, and other financial purposes. With our headquarters in the US and a supporting office in Bogota, we are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our Colombian team. Position Overview As an Associate in our Bogota office, you will support our US-based team by conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing appraisal reports with a focus on discount studies for non-controlling and non-marketable securities. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive discount studies for lack of control and lack of marketability for minority business interests Research and analyze closed-end funds, partnership profiles, and restricted stock studies Prepare detailed financial analyses using asset-based approaches to valuation Draft technical sections of business appraisal reports with clear explanations of methodologies and findings Review financial statements, operating agreements, and other relevant documents Support senior team members with data gathering and analysis for all assignments Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (master's degree preferred) Strong understanding of valuation concepts Experience with real estate valuation or business appraisal preferred Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to understand and interpret legal documents and agreements Required Skills Fluent in English (written and verbal) Strong accounting background and financial analysis capabilities Excellent technical writing skills with ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts Proficiency in data analysis and research methodologies Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote US-based teams What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Professional development opportunities Collaborative work environment Exposure to US market valuation practices Opportunity to grow within an international firm Qualified candidates should submit a resume and cover letter detailing relevant experience and qualifications.
