Titleand Summary Sr. Analyst, Finance Business Partner, EngineeringFinance Overview: The Senior Analyst, Finance Business Partner, isan integral part of Mastercard’s Core Payments finance team, whichsupports the company’s mission to deliver seamless and securepayment solutions. This role focuses on providing financial supportand analysis for core payments, products, and platforms. Theposition also plays a key role in driving innovation andoptimization strategies. The finance team collaborates closely withbusiness units to ensure strategic alignment, optimize financialperformance, and support service owners with cost analysis andfinancial planning. Role: 1. Supports the Payment Network andNetwork Product divisions with financial and budget related needs;conducts financial analysis for divisional leadership. 2. Partnerwith divisional leadership for monthly accrual submissions. 3. Analyze month end results and submit necessary reclass and accrualjournal entries. 4. Maintain and build labor forecastingmethodology. 5. Aid in deal analysis, monitor purchase order andproper fixed asset and capitalization set-up. 6. Prepares monthlyreporting and analysis of financial results and communicates todivisional management, including oversight of opportunities andrisks related to financial plan. 7. Demonstrate appropriateunderstanding / working knowledge of accounting principles andinternal controls, and apply them. 8. Prepare financial ad-hocreporting and analysis demonstrating insightful use of financialanalysis techniques, tools, and concepts, to provide practicalcounsel to divisional partners and management in order to drivebusiness results. 9. Support various financial business cases,models, and standard templates ensuring quality, accuracy, andfocused analytic review. 10. Support service owners inunderstanding Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), key drivers, and unitcosts; partners with finance peers in managing TCO improvements andreporting for horizontal services. All About You: 1. Financialanalysis experience with progressively increasing responsibility.2. Strong background in both accounting and financial analysis(Accruals, journal entries, GAAP). 3. Able to work efficientlyunder pressure and meet deadlines. 4. Demonstrates the ability tobuild internal and external business partnerships to understand theneeds and objectives of stakeholders. 5. Experience reviewing andanalyzing financial and operational modeling to supportmoderate-to-complex projects. 6. Experienced with financial systemsand applications (e.g., Hyperion, Oracle, Excel, PowerPoint). Advanced Excel knowledge and attention to detail is required. 7. Experience resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner. 8. Experience working with colleagues from other business units andmarkets. 9. Experience creating and delivering presentations forinternal learning, training events, and/or business discussionswith key stakeholders.
