Role Overview: Cuesta Partners islooking for an Engineering Manager in Latin America with aninterest in consulting, to work with our broad base of clients onvarious engagements, ensuring the effective execution of technologyprojects and mentoring technical teams. As an Engineering Manager,you will oversee multiple software development projects, manageengineering resources, and ensure high-quality software and datasolutions. You will also play a key role in setting technology bestpractices, solving complex technical challenges, and aligningengineering efforts with business goals. This role will requirestrong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability towork collaboratively across teams. This role is a standards-settingposition designed for an individual who brings deep technicalexpertise and serves as a go-to resource for the development team. As the "technical expert in the room," this person is expected toset the bar for code quality, provide guidance and answer questionsrelated to the codebase, and ensure best practices are upheld. Therole involves limited direct client interaction, with a primaryfocus on engineering excellence and maintaining a high-quality,scalable codebase. While the role is remote, occasional thoughinfrequent travel to the United States may be required for somecritical sessions. What We're Looking For: - Bachelor's or Master'sdegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 8+years of prior experience in software engineering, with at least 2years in a leadership or management role. - Strong background insoftware development, AI, or data engineering. - Experiencemanaging engineering teams and leading projects in an agileenvironment. - Deep understanding of software development cyclesand best practices. - Experience with modern software developmentframeworks and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). - Strongleadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentorand guide a technical team. - Effective communication skills, bothtechnical and non-technical, with the ability to interact withclients and stakeholders.
