About the role: The Procurement Business Partner Leader for Colombia, Central America, and Venezuela plays a key leadership role in the LAC region, acting as the primary Procurement voice and strategic lead for the Indirect category in the market. This role involves developing the Market’s AOP, ensuring collaboration between Procurement teams and Markets to maximize productivity, and implementing Global Procurement Category Sourcing Strategies at the market level across all categories (supply, marketing, indirects). You will foster engagement with key business partners and may lead a procurement team. Responsibilities include developing and executing indirect procurement strategies to improve efficiency, supplier performance, sustainability, and mitigate risks through governance. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the beverage procurement landscape, especially related to Diageo, and be capable of aligning procurement initiatives with organizational priorities. They will be well-connected with executive leaders and global category teams to ensure cohesive, long-term value delivery. Strategic Procurement Leadership Lead the implementation of global procurement strategies tailored to market needs. Collaborate with Business Executives and global partners to optimize procurement performance and resource allocation. Design and implement productivity roadmaps with strategic suppliers for efficiency and savings. Align procurement activities with Diageo’s goals on cost, cash, and carbon footprint. Indirects Category Ownership Lead indirect procurement for LAC and Tequila regions. Act as the main liaison with the Global Procurement indirect team. Ensure flawless execution of indirect procurement activities in line with global strategies. Strengthen the supplier base in Mexico by onboarding high-performing, innovative suppliers. Main Responsibilities: Represent procurement and indirects in Executive Forums, uniting teams around shared goals. Develop, implement, and improve procurement and indirect strategies to optimize supply chain, reduce costs, and support sustainability. Promote continuous improvement with suppliers and internally by benchmarking industry standards. Lead capability building through training programs that foster efficiency and affordability. Manage supplier relationships, collaborate on improvement plans, and monitor performance. Identify and mitigate risks across supply chain and operational processes. Drive cross-functional collaboration to address risks and align priorities. Apply financial and analytical skills to manage budgets, monitor risks, and optimize costs. Experience / skills required: Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields preferred. 8+ years of leadership experience in procurement within multinational, high-volume beverage environments. Deep knowledge of the Latin American beverage market, especially Diageo’s operations in Colombia and Central America. Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and strategic procurement initiatives. Certifications like CPSM, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma, PMP are desirable. Expertise in supplier management, contract negotiation, and performance governance. Proficient in procurement platforms (Coupa, SAP, Salesforce, Llamasoft). Knowledge of global supply chain dynamics and analytics. Strong project leadership skills with cross-functional teams.
