Job Summary \ This role involves contributing to the overall success of the Onboarding and Delivery Team in the Security Platforms Engineering Department in Canada and globally. The successful candidate will ensure specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. \ The role requires ensuring all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. \ Responsibilities include: \ \ - Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. \ - Work collaboratively within a team of security professionals and across the organization in matters of security, logging, and custody of security events and troubleshooting. \ - Respond to incidents; resolve, triage, or escalate as appropriate to meet and exceed SLA metrics. \ - Support and maintain key production systems, ensuring 7/24 availability. \ - Document and keeping comprehensive records of log sources, configurations, analysis procedures, troubleshooting and incident reports. \ - Provide input to management reporting including executive summaries, condition status reporting, statistics, and action item tracking. \ - Knowledge of various Operating systems such as (Linux, Windows, AIX, AS400 and so on) \ - Familiarity with the specific cloud platforms the organization uses (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Azure,) and their logging and monitoring services. \ - Understanding of network protocols and the ability to analyze network logs, such as firewall, IDS/IPS, and DNS logs. OSI Model understanding. \ - Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to automate log parsing, analysis, and response activities. \ - Knowledge of Office 365 tools (e.g., Power automate, Sharepoint, Planner…) \ - Familiarity with analytics tools such as PowerBI, Looker, Anaconda. \ - Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. \ - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. \ - Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. \
