We seek a Senior Data Engineer to work closely with one of our main clients in the financial sector. Main tasks and responsibilities include: Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand needs and design data-driven solutions. Lead strategic prototyping workshops to refine objectives and collaborate across Global Technology Shared Services to implement solutions. Differentiate approaches for self-service BI versus corporate BI, including data sources and ETL strategies. Enhance reporting efficiency through standardization, training, and sharing best practices for Power BI. Promote Power BI as a product, stay updated on technology trends, and advise on suitable Power Solutions use cases. Contribute to the Power Platform center of excellence, establishing governance and fostering adoption. Act as a change ambassador, collaborating creatively at all levels. What do we expect from you? Expertise in data analysis, modeling, and ETL design. Over 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer. Proficiency in SQL, performance tuning, and handling large data volumes. Understanding of enterprise big data architectures. Experience with Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, SSAS, Data Lakes, Data Warehouse, and Data Factory. Knowledge of Power Platform solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Power BI. Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio (SSDT). Understanding security models within data estates. Good command of English (C1), working with international teams. Nice to have: Experience in reporting governance and organizational adoption. Knowledge of SAFe practices. Experience with data interfaces like APIs, Snowflake, databases, and various file formats. Understanding of Data Quality approaches such as shift left.
