We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Discipline at Arkad-Spa in Sesto San Giovanni, Milan. Candidates from around the globe are welcome to apply. Your Role and Responsibilities: - Develop R.C. and Steel Works design, from conceptual phase to detail engineering, preparing calculation reports and design documents. - Coordinate draughtsmen/subcontractors during R.C. and steel works engineering development. - Develop design basis and standard details for R.C. and steel works engineering. - Check and review the R.C. and steel works engineering design developed by engineering companies or subcontractors on various projects. - Evaluate R.C. and steel works against contract, quality, safety, and environment requirements, within specific time schedules and cost constraints. - Support chief engineers in interacting with clients regarding R.C. and steel works engineering issues and serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, design teams, and third parties. - Review vendor documentation relevant to steel structures and interact with suppliers for technical issues. - Suggest optimizations or changes to minimize quantity, costs, or optimize project schedules. - Propose alternative solutions and resolve problems that may arise during construction. - Prepare basic layouts/documentation/design to provide quantity/cost estimates during the bidding phase. - Supervise and support site teams during the construction phase. - Be available for short travel to construction sites, client offices, or subcontractor facilities. - Effectively manage own time when allocated to multiple projects. Our Ideal Candidate: - Civil Engineering background. - Knowledge of major international civil engineering codes. - Experience in civil engineering for large EPC/Energy/industrial plants projects. - Minimum 5 years' experience in civil engineering for large EPC/Energy/industrial plants projects. - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Civil Engineering. - English fluency is essential; French highly desirable.
