At Roca Alliances, we are currently looking for an Oracle Cloud Administrator role for one of our clients in the tech industry. This role is on-site in Medellín, Colombia. (We offer a relocation stipend for candidates based elsewhere in LATAM). As a Oracle Cloud Administrator , you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud Application solutions and other corporate systems. You will work closely with product team to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business requirements and enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities: As an Oracle Cloud Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS. You will ensure the optimal performance, security, and availability of Oracle Cloud environments and provide technical support for various cloud-based applications. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain OCI users and resources, overseeing computer, storage, and networking components. - Monitor OCI performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues. - Implement and enforce governance policies and controls to ensure compliance with organizational standards. - Configure and manage OCI compartments and provisioning services like IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and DBaaS across availability and fault domains. - Configure and manage OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM) to control access and permissions. - Implement security best practices, including data encryption, network security, and regular security audits. - Integrate OCI with other systems and tools to streamline workflows and enhance system functionality. - Work with internal staff, third-party vendors, and Oracle to update and communicate environment maintenance schedules, refresh schedules, and outages. - View and monitor service details and service notifications related to patching, critical updates, and downtime. - Configure and manage OCI/OIC logging and auditing mechanisms for comprehensive system tracking. - Participate in the development and implementation of new OCI features and enhancements to improve system performance and functionality. - Function as the primary point of contact and collaborate with Oracle support to address and resolve OCI/OIC-related technical issues. - Partner with security, network, development, and product teams to identify issues and drive issue resolution. Skills: - In-depth understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Integrated Cloud. - Experience with SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS implementations. - Strong knowledge of Linux system administration. - Experience in monitoring and auditing systems. - Ability to deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems. - Capability to select appropriate services based on compute, data, or security requirements. - Ability to estimate usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms. - Capability to migrate on-premises workloads to cloud service providers. - Experience with virtualization technology. - Ability to implement cloud security services. - Experience with third-party SaaS providers and third-party development partners on integration. - Ability to implement cloud infrastructure designs provided by architects. - Experience in scripting (BASH, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell, Python) and building required automation using standard technologies such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef. - Experience with server OS and storage technologies. - Administration and deployment of OIC integration. - Administration and deployment of APEX, OKE. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience: - 5+ years of experience in supporting highly customer-focused mission-critical environments. - 5+ years of experience in engineering, administration, or supporting Oracle IaaS/PaaS solutions. - Experience with implementing and supporting OCI-based instances and services (e.g., Compute, Network, Storage, Dockers, DBCS, ExaCS, ADW, ATP). Education/Technology: - Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences & Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering field.
