Our team leverages advanced technologies like AI and ML to enhance network performance and reduce total cost of ownership. We're hiring a Principal Engineer to join our WiFi team in Sunnyvale, CA. In this role, you'll drive the architecture, design, and development of cutting-edge wireless access points that enable enterprises and carriers to stay ahead of the demand for high-bandwidth applications. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop WiFi features that align with evolving standards, focusing on high performance, low latency, and guaranteed service delivery. - Collaborate with chip vendors to drive innovation, enhance SDKs, and support multi-platform, multi-standard solutions. - Optimize wireless performance for challenging environments, including high-density deployments and challenging RF conditions. - Conduct performance benchmarking, debugging, and tuning of the WiFi systems. - Cross-functional collaboration to manage project deliverables, dependencies, milestones, and product optimization. - Lead technical reviews and architectural discussions to guide the team in adopting best solutions. - Partner with system engineers and product managers to meet customer requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Networking or Wireless and 8+ years of relevant experience. - In-depth knowledge of WiFi AP architecture and WiFi standards. - Experience guiding architectural and design changes in WiFi AP products. - Expertise in embedded systems, kernel, and device drivers. - Strong coding experience in C/C++, Python for embedded systems development. - Proven experience with SDK integration across multiple platforms with different vendors. - Strong understanding of WiFi communication protocols (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, 802.11ax, 802.11be). - Able to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment, pushing technology boundaries. - Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
