PayU Bogota, D.C., Capital District, ColombiaSenior Accounting AnalystPayU Bogota, D.C., Capital District, ColombiaGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.About PayUPayU, a leading payment and Fintech company in 50+ high-growth markets throughout Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, part of Prosus group, one of the largest technology investors in the world is redefining the way people buy and sell online for our 300.000 + merchants and millions of consumers.About PayUPayU, a leading payment and Fintech company in 50+ high-growth markets throughout Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, part of Prosus group, one of the largest technology investors in the world is redefining the way people buy and sell online for our 300.000 + merchants and millions of consumers.As a leading online payment service provider, we deploy more than 400 payment methods and PCI-certified platforms to process approximately 6 million payments every single day.About The RoleAs a Senior Accounting Analyst, you will analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations, prepare account reconciliations, identify discrepancies and work with relevant departments to resolve issues, ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies, support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.What You Will DoAssist management with the implementation of new financial projects to achieve timely and accurate results.Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Support all local requirements for the year-end in each LATAM country.Be responsible for the execution and completion of internal and external audits for LATAM.Support the development, implementation, and improvement of policies, procedures, and internal control standards.Collaborate across Finance, OPS, and HR areas to increase efficiency in accounting/financial processes and strengthen interfaces between departments.Prepare, reconcile, and analyze expenses, revenue, variances, and balance sheet accounts for LATAM.Execute assigned processes for pre-closing and closing activities to achieve timely and accurate results for the LATAM monthly financial closing.Propose improvements for accounting processes, identifying opportunities for automation.Provide meaningful reports, presentations, analysis, and required information for managed projects/tasks.Coordinate accounting functions in other countries.Communicate with other areas to identify improvements in common processes.What You Need To SucceedBachelor's degree in accounting+4 years of proven experience as an accountant, desirable on financial companiesProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Attention to detailKnowledge in financial modeling toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.IFRS or US GAAP knowledgeIntermediate English level is a plusAbout UsAt PayU, we are a global fintech investor and our vision is to build a world without financial borders where everyone can prosper.
