Senior Claims Specialist Reinsurance Based in Bogotá Colombia Job Summary The Claims Specialist for Reinsurance is responsible for the adjustment of claims emanating from the Reinsurance pillar. As part of the LMRE Claims Department, you will form part of the EMEA/Latam Claims team that operates in six offices around the world. Ideally this role will be based in our Bogota office. The role reports directly to the Regional Claims Manager for EMEA & LatAm, based in London. This position is responsible for conducting investigations, recommending adequate reserves, monitoring, documenting, and settling/closing claims in an expeditious and economical manner within prescribed authority limits for the line of business. Job Responsibilities To personally adjust key claims on all classes of business emanating from the Reinsurance pillar to ensure that they are all appropriately managed. This will include frequent contact with major clients and underwriters. To adhere to the authority requirement of the role, as agreed. To support the management of all third-party relationships where the third party has delegated claims handling authority. Preparation, training and experience Knowledge of Reinsurance classes of business. Knowledge of Latam insurance markets. Proven ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Ability to make decisions, and exhibit sound and reasoned judgment and/or escalate as necessary. Competent organisational, interpersonal and relationship building skills. Competent analytical and oral/written presentation skills. Ability to work alone or as part of a team in a collaborative manner IT-proficient Fluent language of English Undergraduate and/or advanced degree. 5+ years claims/legal experience or in a related field;
