Operates, maintains, and repairs multiple critical and non-critical facility components, including HVAC (heating, cooling, and ventilation) systems, plumbing, fire control and suppression, roofing systems and exterior grounds. Has proficient understanding of sensitive facility components that may be impacted by failures or malfunctions of infrastructure systems.Supervises Data Center Engineers and Data Center site. Assists with testing and coordinating projects and maintenance.Typically has +3 years of people management experience leading teams and developing teams' careers, the Data Center Critical Facilities Supervisor and is fully proficient with each of the responsibilities indicated.ResponsibilitiesManagementSupervises Data Center Engineers to ensure that the duties they are undertaking are carried out in a timely manner and projects are progressing as expectedManages personnel details to include salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and development careers plansWork with the team to promote the Equinix culture and define the succession plan for the teamProvides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees. Assigns tasks and monitors work at frequent intervals.
