We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Freight Coordinator to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating container movements efficiently while ensuring excellent communication with clients and carriers. - This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, responsive, and capable of managing multiple shipments simultaneously. Key Responsibilities - Coordinate container movements, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to clients. - Maintain open and transparent communication with clients and carriers throughout the shipping process. - Review information, update loads correctly and on time in Airtable and TM3 systems. - Pay attention to special instructions for each load, request information if needed, such as packing lists or PO numbers. - Schedule loads within available import and export timeframes, adhering to ERD and cut-off times. - Update client portals within two hours after each movement is completed. - Notify clients of any additional charges incurred during shipment. - Track shipments through SSL and port/rail websites, updating records accordingly. Requirements - Experience in drayage logistics is required. - Strong knowledge of shipping, ports, container tracking, and freight documentation is necessary. - Familiarity with logistics platforms like TM3, Airtable, and client portals is essential. - Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are required. - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are necessary. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is essential. - Detail-oriented problem-solving mindset is crucial.
